Jolly Christmas!

The year 2008 is coming to an end and this Christmas season is however a quiet one mainly because of the economic situation. Indeed, there are certain things which I do not wish to look back to and hoping it will not come to me again (some of you will know what I am talking about) Goodbye to 2008 and hello to new 2009!

The big Christmas Tree at Taka

Because we refused to buy toys for Nicole, she posed with her daddy in a glum look.

She is all happy again posing on a huge piece of rock outside Swensons - a 360 degree mood swing! Help!

Taken in a hotel - like mummy like daughter!

A Musical Affair

Snow White & Seven Dwarfs
The Musical
16 December 2008
@ National Library

Snow White & Seven Dwarfs, a pantomime which starred Sebastian Tan as the Queen, Elena Wong as Snow White, Dwayne Tan as the prince charming. Elena's voice was the one voice I loved the most. She never failed to captivate the audiences' attention. Along with me were Dearie, Conz, Edison & Gilbert. After the musical, we managed to take some pictures of the cast. (photos courtesy of Conz)

We were all hungry and decided to go to 126 Sims Ave for Dim Sum (Wan Dou Sek)

Another Crazy Christmas
@ Suntec Convention - Auditorium
17 December 2008

Gilbert, Conz, Hossan, myself & Eileen

This is the second time I watched a crazy Christmas concert staged by Dream Academy. I liked Hossan Leong's Retro act, the 3 Japanese girls and Sebastian Tan's part. I laughed till I teared! They were really funny! Thanks to Guat Hoon again who got these complimentary tickets for 7 of us.

My New Hairdo

I spent almost the whole afternoon there at the salon doing my hair! I was there at 11.30am and only left the salon at 6.30pm! wahahahaha! Look at all the wires around me! scary right! It shudders me when these wires were around my head! I did rebonding and digital perm. Rebonded the upper part of my hair and permed my lower half of my hair.
Total damage = $190

The all-new me! (ahem without makeup on)
My curls are still tight. My hairdresser said it will take a week for my curls to loosen up and the curls will appear nicer and bigger. Can't wait...

How do I look?? comments please....

Yum Yum Treats From A self-confessed Foodie

Yum Yum # 1
Astons @ Amk Central

Finally, I got to savour their steaks at Astons express. I know this is not their best, but still the steak was good and worth my money. (sorry, the pic of the steak somehow got corrupted) 10 bucks for ribeye steak with two sides to choose from. I will go try the one at Joo chiat place someday.

Yum Yum # 2
Sushi Tei @ Raffles City

Nic posing with the cow

Nicole playing with the chopsticks

Eileen & I

These pictures were taken at Sushi Tei @ Raffles City. It was already 9.30pm when we walked in. Eileen decided to go healthy so spicy seafood ramen for herself, plain udon for me and cold soba for dearie. We also ordered salmon belly and maguro sushi, teriyaki chicken and teriyaki salmon.
The delicious spread of sushi we ordered

Yum Yum #3
Carousel Lunch Buffet

An impromptu lunch decision made by Tuty & I...Ruth came to join us much later after she was done at the post office at Lucky plaza.

My favourite salmon sashimi which I can't do without each time I go for international buffets! This was the first time I tried the lunch spread. I am always there for hi-tea with my colleagues.

Yum Yum #4
MOF Desserts @ Lot 1 CCK

My favourite dessert at MOF -
Green tea (macha) icecream with japanese dumplings in red beans.
No no, I am not a glutton...and I didn't whoop up two bowls! Ruth had the other bowl.

I liked how they served their desserts...
Oh, one thing we were kinda put off with was their service and their staff! haha...bad bad! one of the dessert chef was sleeping on a table next to us! Gosh! ugly ugly!

My Cafe Mocha

Ruth's Cafe Latte

We were quite intrigued by their fanciful satchets of sugar...so Atas! no wonder, the coffee costs us $5 bucks!

Yum Yum #5
Frog leg Porridge @ Sims Ave (Geylang)

It was buy two get one free...I had spicy froggy while Dearie had two.
We also order marmite pork ribs. (white plate)

My spicy froggy cooked in chilli padi and dried chilli!
