It's a Woman's thing - SALE

Yes...tell any woman this word (SALE) and you will see the sparkle in her eyes. I was delighted and all charged up for the loreal sale at expo on friday morning. I was there with nicole, eve, my mum and eileen. We had earlier on expected a crowd so we arrived slightly earlier at 10.40am although the doors to the sale only opened at 11am. We queued for more than 40 mins just to pay for our loots. We queued again at ADIDAS sale right after we've paid for our loreal loots. Bought a bag for $15 and a Stan-chart Marathon 2005 jogger's top for $5 bucks.

This is my third time at the Loreal sale and believe me, I won't go home empty handed. The deals are really dirt cheap, as in, the prices are really lower than what you would expect in the market. Ok, I am not gonna tell you how much I've spent this time, just gonna show you what I have bought...Here's my loot...

Mask selling at 2 boxes for $20, while all others (lipsticks, foundation, mascara) at 4 for $20.

I spent my thurs evening with dearie ( I left nicole with mum). We headed to Vivo city, bought tickets to watch Casino Royale.

The current James Bond is not as good looking as the previous bonds.

We had dinner at Carl's Junior.

Chilli Beef Fries tasted good!
Dearie sipping Coke
Me savaging on my Guacamole bacon cheeseburger!

IE is stupid...

I finally found out that IE is really stupid...I cant create any post if I use IE to log on to my blogspot to create a post. I have downloaded firefox 2.0, and I have absolutely no problems with creating new post at all.

Discovery...

Nicole
Nicole
Me when I was 2
Me when I was 4

Can u see the resemblance in us?? Nicole looks so much like me when I was younger...hee...

Here's what happened during the past one week...

Firstly, I want to thank God for His blessings. My two students decided to come back for lessons for the month of Nov and I have an additional student (colleague's daughter)come the month of Dec. I know that if I place my trust and faith in Him, He will do the rest for me. Thank you Lord!

Next, I have been spending time with my colleagues whom I seldom talk to...they began to open up and I really feel comfortable with them. We always head for lunch (IMM, Jurong Point, Clementi) in the midst of our invigilation days. Yesterday, we had lunch at Fish & Co. Had a wonderful time of fun and laughter. Here are the pictures...

Cg yesterday was refreshing (no sermon) and we were all dwelling in God's prescence...we celebrated Steff's birthday. Presented her the Kim San Soon's piggy and a birthday card. hehe! Here's some pictures of pretty Steff...

I was rebuked...

Malachi 3:11-12 (NKJV)

"And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,"
Says the LORD of hosts;
And all nations will call you blessed,
For you will be a delightful land,"
Says the LORD of hosts.

God is vitally interested in your finances. He wants to multiply and protect them. But He won't be able to--unless you open the door for Him to do it. How? Through tithing. When you tithe, you give God the legal right to intervene in your financial affairs, to bless you richly, and to defend you against the destruction the devil brings. When you tithe, you lay a foundation for success and abundance. You establish deposits with God you can draw on when you need them. But don't wait until your back is against the wall to start. Begin now. Start developing your faith when things are going well by meditating on the blessing God's Word promises you as a tither. Learn to act on that Word now, and when Satan tries to put you in a financial corner, he'll fail. His power over you financially will have already been broken. Because you've established yourself on the covenant of God, Satan will have no chance against you. God will rebuke him for your sake. If you haven't yet opened the door and given God a way into your finances, don't wait any longer. Do it today. Then, when the pressures of tomorrow come, you'll be prepared and protected by the special privileges that are guaranteed to those who tithe.

Somehow, I kena rebuked by Him that I should do the necessary first. He gave me this verse and it kept flashing across my mind while I was driving and began to spoke in tongues this morning. I have been thinking these days that I won't be able to fulfil my pledge and tithe because of some spiritual warfare going on...But hey! I have fulfilled both by FAITH after this morning. What an encounter!

Sleepy...

Yet another long day of invigilation...you couldnt believe it if I were to tell you I was so sleepy that I dozed off while standing! ahahaha...serious! Early morning was ok...2 hour math paper1. After lunch with my colleagues at Jurong point, went back for yet another 1 hr 30 min social studies paper. While standing behind the class, I leaned against the wall and began to feel numb all over me, my eyelids started to get heavy...and I found myself in dreamland for a few seconds...! haha...sssshhhhh... the room was too cosy and cold, I just couldnt help it.

I am addicted to Lee Hom's songs (watched his concert on dvd, my mum bought it). He is really a multi-talented musician. A composer/song writer of many styles of music, he also plays the guitar, drums, piano and the violin. How nice if I know how to play all these instruments other that the piano too!

N211 Ladies Nite Out

In the morning, I had bs with Xiaoyun. Soon after, we found ourselves at an traditional Indian shop where two ladies were threading our eyebrows. It was however, my first time. I was literally shocked at first, it felt like as though many strands of brow hairs were plucked at one go! The experience was so different from the usual eyebrow plucking at cosmetic counters at shopping malls. And most of all, it was just 5 bucks!~ cheap deal!!!

Yes...finally, I had my hair cut and dyed. I am satisfied with the end results. Job was done at amk central 'Cut' & 'Curl' by Lexx. My friends commented it looked good on me. :)

Met up with the ladies - Alison, Jiayan, Joyce, Annie and Steff (100% attendance ok!)...had beef noodles for dinner, bought FOX apparels for princess. Both top & bottom were on 30% discount. We walked and chatted till about 10pm, strolled in to Menotti and ordered my fav dessert Warm Chocolate with chocolate chip icecream. Xiaoyun came and joined us after a wedding dinner. We had fun. Took some pictures too. (will post them later...memory card with dearie)

I really enjoyed the time we spent together. It was really cool to go out in a bunch like this. Look forward to more of this fellowshipping time.

The School Holidays

Yes...it's the school holis but sadly, I am still much needed in GCE 'O' Level invigilation and CCA duties (guest choir performing 30 nov at sg conference hall).

I have been spending alot of time with my dearest princess. I have been bringing her back home so that both my parents have better night sleep. She is getting used to coming back home now, just that she dislikes it having to wake up early in the morning to go back to my mum's.

This entire week is somewhat crucial but exciting coz it's the pledging week. Still awaiting for the amount to be spoken to me...will be fasting thurs and friday.

Haa! Speaking of my hair...yet to have it trimmed and coloured. Just couldnt find the time...sigh...this evening, dearie and maurice had their haircut at Supercut at Cineleisure. Both of them were charged 25 bucks. I asked for the price for my hair length...was shocked when it was 50 bucks for just trimming. For that price...I could have gone to Toni & Guy salon!~ Anyway, I changed my mind about having my hair trimmed there.

Tommorrow's ladies nite out...cellgroup sisters! yepp! we are going to have a simple dinner at raffles city, do alittle shopping and desserts at menotti. haa! I just had desserts there with maurice and dear...looks like my diet plan is not gonna work again...ha!

Will be back with pics of the nite out...
